The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) have said that more than one thousand jobs are set to be lost at the Land Registry.
With current staff levels of about six thousand, the organisation needs to save £92 million, so in a process of transformation and modernisation the cuts will come over the next five years.
The announcement comes in the shadow of rumours of privatisation, which the PCS have strongly criticised.
