Ordnance Survey and Land Registry Edge Towards Privatisation?

Geographic Information System stuff The government have announced a proposed sale of assets in order to reduce the public debt - but where does this leave Ordnance Survey, and the Land Registry?

Already a favourite for full privatisation in a recent pre budget report, which was strongly criticised by the Free Our Data website, the OS now look likely candidates to be sold.

In that pre budget report another organisation earmarked for privatisation was the Land Registry.

It now emerges that the Land Registry and Ordnance Survey have come to a 'landmark agreement' to share a massive datacentre in Gloucester.
