Royal Mail to be Sold?
Posted on Monday, December 15 @ 13:08:50 GMT by DataDog

Other information Looks as if the Royal Mail is going to go the same way as Ordnance Survey then.

Peter Mandelson is set to deliver a government commissioned report which recommends that the Royal Mail must instigate sweeping changes in the face of financial challenges.

The underlying message however is that it is likely Royal Mail will be privatised in part or in full.

Whilst no doubt Mandy would be keen to do this straight away, Labour have a manifesto pledge to maintain Royal Mail as a public sector organisation for this current government.

This pledge it seems is one they intend to keep, but beyond that, it may well be down to the Conservatives to decide.

How will all this effect the NLPG and Mapping Service Agreement?

Who knows.
